The blazing Nevada heat punched Blakely’s face as she exited the main office of the Lucky 19 Family Resort and Casino. Even though the sun had begun to set, she put on her sunglasses since she had been inside the hotel for close to three hours, touring the facilities. The Uber she’d requested sat at the curb. She slid into the back seat, the air conditioned interior melting away the heat from her body.

She checked her messages. One from Clayton, a few from Clea, a voicemail from her father, and a text from Ronan, which she read first.

Hurry up, baby. I miss you.

She beamed at her phone as she quickly wrote back:

All done, my Irish cowboy. Get ready…

She quickly replied to Clea’s emails. The car pulled up to the hotel just as she dialed Clayton’s number.

“Blakely, how are you? Did you see Lucky 19 yet?”

“Yes, sir,” she replied as she stepped into the lobby. “I’m back at my hotel. I just left the meeting. Their biggest obstacle will be branding. The name itself will have to go. The owners will have to decide if they want to be a family resort or a casino. It all depends on what kind of clientele they want to attract.”

“Do you think we should take them on as a client? How did you get on with them?”

“Roger and Estelle were very easy to talk to. I could have listened to them for hours talking about Vegas in the old days. I wouldn’t mind working with them.”

The elevator stopped on her floor. She stepped out onto her floor and headed for her suite where Ronan was waiting.

“So is Vegas growing on you?” he asked.

She slid her keycard into the slot on her door and pushed down the handle. When she walked in, her mouth dropped at the sight in front her.

“Blakely? You still there? Did you hear what I said?”

Ronan stood in the living area of the suite, dressed only in his blue jeans, the rest of him was bare. Tall white candles lined the room, their flames burning. A bottle of champagne chilled in a bucket on the coffee table, with a bowl of chocolate-covered strawberries next to it.

“Yes, sir, I heard you,” she replied, her eyes locked on Ronan’s luscious body. “And to answer your question, yes, Vegas is definitely growing on me.”

Ronan smiled wickedly at her response.

“Glad to hear it. I’ll let you relax. We’ll talk later.”

“Yes, sir. Thank you.”

She ended the call, making a show of it for Ronan as she shut it off completely and shoved it into her purse.

“I’m all yours,” she whispered huskily.

Ronan silently strode over to her. She could hear her heart pounding in her ears, waiting for one touch of his hand that would set her on fire. Her cleft turned wet from the predatory look in his sapphire eyes.
